Our OBG department takes pride in its state-of-the-art infrastructure, designed to provide top-quality care and education. We have a modern labour room and well-equipped operation theatres that facilitate a wide range of procedures, including hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries. A dedicated day surgery unit is available for minor surgeries, and our office procedures, including colposcopy, are performed with precision. We also offer access to advanced technologies and equipment that empower our residents to excel in their training.

Residents have the opportunity to rotate through different specialties, gaining exposure to high-risk pregnancies, surgeries, and OBG emergencies. Additionally, we offer a dedicated skill lab for hands-on training in laparoscopic techniques, preparing our candidates for real-world scenarios.
Our well-equipped library grants access to an extensive collection of standard textbooks, national and international journals, and e-books, ensuring our residents have the resources they need for academic excellence. Regular monthly theory examinations instill confidence in our students, preparing them for their assessments.
With a commendable 100% pass rate in the DNB program, our department has a track record of excellence. Our candidates have actively participated in conferences, quiz programs, and paper presentations, showcasing their knowledge and expertise. I consider myself very fortunate to have completed my PG from two outstanding medical institutions in the country..After completing DGO from Govt Medical College Calicut, I chose Aster MIMS Calicut as my DNB institute based on a dream to learn from some of the legends in the field of O&G . My period as a DNB student at Aster MIMS has been most memorable. Apart from ensuring that I get the coveted DNB degree , the institute has played an instrumental part in who I am as a person today. My mentors recognised my strengths and weaknesses with ease and helped me direct my attention to areas that needed improvement. They direct us with their immense experience, while still encouraging us to stay abreast of evidence based medicine. Our profession demands not just clinical & surgical expertise but also a working knowledge of quality care, Interdepartmental cooperation , Adept patient communication and conflict resolution - all of which are inculcated into our training ...
