Choosing Aster MIMS for my DrNB urology course was one of the finest and right decision. I am proud and very thankful to be trained under the guidance of Dr. Ravikumar sir (HOD) , Surdas sir and Abhay sir. Our department furnished with all the new modalities, case load and hands on.All varaities of case I have assisted and got experience as Endo-uro, laparoscopy, renal transplant and robotics. Whole department working environment was very smooth. All other staff was very cooperative and trained in their work. We celebrate all birthday there with cake cutting. I still miss my department I would like to recommend ASTER MIMS urology department for for anyone seeking for urology
September 10 2019, one of the most important day of my career, the day when I joined for my urology residency in Aster Mims calicut.
The centre with all the most modern facilities like robotics, laparoscopy, laser endourology, transplants, urooncology, reconstructive urology and andrology. Apart from the immense exposure to all the major realms of urology, it’s the excellent training and mentorship that you receive from the department that makes it numero uno among the DNB institutes. I am deeply thankful to my mentors Dr Ravikumar sir, Dr. Surdas sir and Dr. Abhay sir who has moulded me to who I am today. I consider myself extremely lucky to still continue working under them after my course. Even though ours is a single resident per year department you never feel exhausted or overworked.
It’s the freedom to express yourself and the family like atmosphere within among the faculty, residents and well trained staffs that makes it a class apart. Really enjoyed the birthday celebrations and yearly trips.
